Guddibande Betta & Akkayamma Betta..

A biker can bear distance from his/her partner, friends, Sometimes family too. However, if he has to be away from his bike and open roads. That is the most difficult part of his life. I'm not a veteran. However, I felt very uncomfortable and stressed when I had to be away from my beast for 6 months.

This ride what I'm going to talk about, It was like come back ride... This is because it had been a very long time, I had hit the open roads. Even after coming back to Bangalore, I was not in a state to plan for a long ride. As the itch to hit the open roads was killing me, I decided to go for a short ride to pacify myself...
After a lot of research and thinking process decided to visit this Place called Guddibandey Betta.

Location: Gudibande Fort/Betta.
Distance: 90KM(from my residence)
Time:  1hr 33Minutes

So at last on 5th October 2017 was the day, when I decide to give a treat to myself and my Beast.

Everything was planned and I was all set to leave for the ride on 4th October. However, as Bangalore is famous for its' rains and it happened the same with me. A night before the ride, it was raining continuously.  However, I was not ready to drop my plan and left for my trip.

Like any other trip, I fueled up at shell petrol pump Bellary Rd (Big thanks to those guys for keeping there service 24/7 and helping passionate bikers like me.) and kickstarted my trip. I had just started my trip and it started to drizzle, which later changed into a bit heavy rain. Due to this, the visibility had dropped down. This situation, instead of convincing me to stop the ride and get back home, got me more excited to ride further. The rain, chilled climate, and the foggy view gave me an ultimate feeling, it made my ride more beautiful.

While I was enjoying the climate and the ride, I completely forgot that I'm not aware of the exact route. However, the previous night I had checked that its' anyway after crossing Nandi hills junction, so nothing much to worry about, as I had not even reached near the toll plaza of Airport.

It was the usual route, which I had been taking to work for 2years and also, had done the BLR-HYD trip, so nothing new to see. This was just till the diversion I took at Varlakonda, that is near Goribidanoor.

The view completely changed, though the monsoon weather had made boring 4 lane road a bit interesting. The road I was now after taking the diversion, It was just amazing. I was in love with every inch of the road.If I could, I would have stopped my bike at every 200 to 300 mts and taken a pic. Not only this place had good roads, scenery, and weather, of course,  it also had facilities which is much needed for travelers. This place was very much in interior and here to my surprise, there was a petrol pump and also ATM center.

While I was heading towards Fort/Hill, I just saw a beautiful place. The route, which ended at a lake. I suddenly took a U-turn and entered that path and man, it was a beautiful place. I parked my bike and got lost in the beauty of that place... If you visit this place, you would stop your vehicle several times, as there are numerous beautiful spots, especially for selfie lovers...

After taking a couple of pictures of my Beast and the surrounding continued my journey towards the hill. It was when I almost reached the place, google map started playing, the turn it indicated was not present. That's when I remembered, we shouldn't completely depend on technology always. Asked few people around and got into a hidden road, which would lead to the foothills.

Now The Main Adventure Starts:

After parking my bike, I just looked at the Fort. which looked something like this,

It was a long trek...

I had been to forts earlier, that is Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Rajasthan... However this fort was a bit different, though it had few similarities, there were many things which was unique. First of all this fort was full of greenery and the path up to the top was not the same, it was tricky. Many places were like only one person at a time could pass through it. There were a lot of spooky places on the way top.
To be honest, those 100steps took the life out of me...

However, as they say, Hard work pays' you off. It was the same for me. As I climbed the hill, the view got better and better and when I was on the top of it. It was a magnificent view.
I could see beautiful clouds, lake(where I had stopped on the way).icing on the cake was, I was all alone to enjoy this beauty.

Here I spent quite some time, enjoyed myself and headed back...Here are some photos which were taken at the location.

Akkyamma Betta.

As it was a ride after a long gap, I had decided to cover two places in one ride. However was not sure, if that would be possible. So after having a wonderful time at, Gudibandey Betta. I started off for my next destination location, which was Akyamma Betta.

Location: Akkayamma Betta.

Distance:  25 Kms

As I did not have anything from the morning, rats inside my stomach had started playing a cricket match. I was hungry, however, did not find a good place to hogg.

Please note, when you visit Gudibandey Betta, please carry snacks and water bottle with you. (But, please don't trash the place by throwing wrappers of snacks and water bottles)

I was in no hurry to reach my next location and was cruising at normal speed, that's when spotted few cyclist wearing a similar color T-shirt. On having a closer look, I found a plate behind their cycles which mentioned Kashmir to Kanyakumari. I was amazed to see that, they are on a bicycle ride from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. I signaled them and asked to stop so that I can have few words with them.

After Speaking to the leader of the group, I came to know that they were on a ride for the social cause, which our current Prime Minister Modiji has the vision to attain. I would not be able to explain this better than, they themselves, K2K bicycle ride.

After having a quick conversation with enthusiastic cyclists took a break for munching something and getting hydrated...

It was around noon when I reached Akayamma Betta. This place is quite near for people staying in and around Mekri circle or eastern Bangalore. This place looked nice, however, the actual beauty of the place could be observed when you are at the top of the hill.

The only sad part of this place was, this place was spoiled by the lovebirds visiting this place. I don't understand, in current times where a relationship how much ever true, doesn't  last more than a year. Why do you have to express such love by spoiling a scenic place like this Hill or our beautiful monuments?  Boys are such nuts just for this expression, ðŸ˜± from a girl they waste their energy, money and also spoil the actual beauty of the place.

Anyways, I had actually planned to spend a long time at this place and shoot some nice time lapses. However, could not do it. As it would hinder lovebirds privacy, also I guess I was pooja time at temple present there, as many families started coming to that place.

Once I sat on my bike, I thought my beautiful day ends here, But, I was proved wrong. The nature god had some other plans, what happened next was like  Almighty Allah giving me a goody bag. As I was nearing towards Mekri circle, It started raining and what best I could ask for, other than this. Next 6 Kms, it was amazing monsoon ride. The rains were damn heavy and I can't express what fun I had. Woooowwwww, seriously it was like all my ridding wishes came true on that day.
